Bonham Geller is a Virgin Islands based composer and classical guitarist. He studied at Interlochen Arts Academy for two years and is currently studying Composition at Berklee College of Music. His teachers include Nomi Epstien, Marti Epstien, Cynthia Van Maanen, Jamie Leigh Sampson, Matthew Cochran, Dion Parson, Tabari Lake, Ron Blake, Joshua Lawrence, John Shaffer, and Brandon Reburn.
Geller is interested in the history of sound, and the infinite pathways that sound and phrases can take. In working very closely with performers, he aims to bring as much life as possible to his performances. It is only through hard work, attention to detail, and reverence for the past that our true potentials can be reached.
Geller has collaborated with many performers and composers from Interlochen, the Caribbean, and Boston. He has put on performances such as "Crecimiento" which featured his original and bassoonist César Torres Rosario's chamber music, "Umbra" , a multimedia event that explored the concept of fear through poetry, art songs, electronic music, and jazz, and "Galut Gadol" which explored jewish, latino, and hungarian heritage on the classical guitar.
